NO SHOW!

So my patient forgot to come today, so luckily there was an extra patient so I was able to work on him. He was a 1B but he still had mixed dentition, which I still have a hard time with. Without x-rays to help, I have a hard time knowing whether or not the tooth is a primary tooth or not. Some are more obvious than others. For example his canines did not look like perm. they looked more primary to me, and low and behold they were his permanent teeth. It was nice to have another mixed dentition patient to practice on but it always gets me so confused.
