My first Class III

Today I had my first class III patient. Needless to say I did not finish, but it sure was an interesting experience. It had been 20 yrs. since her teeth were cleaned and there was definate build up-which was cool to finally see really what calculus looks like. She is coming back on Monday for me to finish and I will get to use the ultrasonic on her. I am excited, but I still get so nervous before every single one of my patients come. I need to some how over come the anxiety. Oh and she was totally asleep while I was probing. She was very compliant though I would tell her open and she would but then she would immediately start snoring. It was funny. She was a really nice lady and I was trying to talk her into getting her 5 and 6 yr olds in for a cleaning. I don't think they have every been to the dentist.
