Well, my first real patient (Nate), came in last Wednesday. Even though it was just Nate, I was so incredibly nervous. I think I was just anticipating the whole day, and was nervous/excited to see how everything would pan out. What I was able to get done, which wasn't much, I felt went pretty well. I only was able to get through probing, but I actually feel better about the whole thing. Some spots are still a little hard for me to get to, but it is clicking. My radiographs turned out well also, I switched to conventional film at the last minute, which I feel was a good move. I have a really hard time with out the ring to help me line up the shot. I am really nervous for next semester. Some of the girls already have patients and I don't yet! YIKES! I do feel like I have a better idea of the flow of a typical appt, and that makes things a little less stressful, but not a whole lot :)
I am glad to have it over with and can concentrate on what is next!
